Meta Introduces new AI assistant powered by Llama 3

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg made a major announcement regarding their AI technology, introducing Meta AI.

This advanced AI assistant is powered by the large language model called Llama. The upgraded Meta AI is designed to improve the user experience across popular Meta apps such as WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, and Messenger. Meta AI is also available on its dedicated website (meta.ai).

Feature of new Meta AI

• Meta AI is expanding its services to over a dozen countries including Australia, Canada, Ghana, Jamaica, and South Africa, after previously being available only in the US.
• Meta AI is a new AI assistant that is powered by Llama 3. It offers users a faster and more accurate experience and is designed to assist with tasks such as finding restaurants, planning trips, studying for exams, and generating design inspiration. 
• Meta has recently launched a dedicated Meta AI website and integrated it with the major Meta apps such as Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Messenger. 
  • This integration allows users to access the AI assistant's features without switching to a different app. 
  • Additionally, Meta has joined hands with Google and Bing to provide real-time information through Meta AI. 
• Meta AI has introduced a new feature called "Imagine" which lets users create images in real-time from text descriptions. 
  • This beta feature is currently available on WhatsApp and the Meta AI website. Users can watch their vision come to life as they type. 
  • Additionally, users can easily personalize their content by animating, altering the style, and transforming images into GIFs using Meta AI. 
• Meta is also working on making Meta AI accessible on its VR headset, Meta Quest. In the future, Meta AI will be integrated with the platform and Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses, expanding its reach and making it more versatile and immersive for users.
