Sudhanshu Mittal Unanimously Re-Elected as Kho Kho Federation Chief

Sudhanshu Mittal has been re-elected unopposed to a fresh four-year term as President of the Kho Kho Federation of India from 2025 to 2029. The election to elect a new Governing Body of the Kho Kho Federation of India was held in New Delhi at the headquarters of the Kho Kho India Federation.
Upkar Singh Virk of the Punjab Kho Kho Association has been elected as the new General Secretary of the Kho Kho Federation of India. The Governing Body also includes eight Vice Presidents, four Joint Secretaries, and 13 Executive Members.
Former Kho Kho players Ashwini Bipin Patil and Monika will represent the Athletes Commission.
Established - 1955.
It is the sports governing body in India and organises various national and international events.
It successfully organised the first edition of the Kho Kho World Cup in which 20 countries men’s teams and 19 countries women's teams participated.
The World Cup, held in New Delhi from January 13 to 19, 2025, was won by the Indian women's and men’s teams.
Kho Kho is a traditional Indian game with an ancient origin.
Three Indian games - Kho Kho, Kabaddi, and Mallakhamb - were included as demonstration games in the 1936 Berlin Summer Olympics.
Divyanshi Bhowmick of India has won the U-15 Girls singles title at the 29th Asian Youth Championships.
In the final, she defeated China’s Zhu Qihi 4-2 to win the title.
The 29th Asian Youth Championship was organised by the International Table Tennis Federation in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, from June 26 to July 2, 2025.
