Bihar’s Boys and Girls teams won the 10th Junior National Rugby 7s Championship 2025 titles in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. It was a repeat of the 2022 Junior National Rugby 7s Championship, where Bihar bagged both the Boy’s and Girl’s women’s titles.
The 10th Junior National Rugby 7s Championship 2025 was organised by the sports governing body, the Indian Rugby Football Union, in partnership with the Uttarakhand Government and the Uttarakhand Rugby Association.
The Championship was played in a seven-player format and was open to Boys and Girls players aged under 18 years.
All matches of the Championship were played at the Ganga Athletics Stadium of Maharana Pratap Sports University, situated in Dehradun, Uttarakhand.
The Girls’ Championship was held on 8 &9 July 2025.
The Boys Championship was held on 12 and 13 July 2025.
Defending champion Bihar took on Odisha in the final of the 10th Junior National Rugby 7s Championship 2025. It was a repeat of the 2022 and 2024 finals, where both teams faced each other.
The Bihar team entered the final without conceding a single point in either the league games or the knockout stages of the Championships.
However, it was a close-fought final where the Bihar Girls triumphed over the Odisha team 14-5.
It was the third title win for the Bihar Girls team in the last four editions of the Championships.
